Construction, construction, and MORE POOR construction! We moved in when the Avenues first opened two years ago, and since then, it has not stopped. To name a few: The top balconies had to be fixed TWICE, and are still being "fixed." The concrete floors are now being torn out because of issues with them. Air vents and sprinkler heads had to be installed on balcony ceilings. There is constant hammering, drilling, banging, truck sirens, as well as constant noise from edgers, blowers, lawn mowers, etc. If only the tenants were taken care of as the grass is! If you work night shifts or have a baby, forget about sleep since there is never any peace and quiet. The place was built so cheaply and poorly, the walls are paper thin. We've lived in both buildings, and each time our neighbors were extremely loud, so it did not matter whether living on the bottom or top floor as noise levels are not enforced by management. Although stated in review replies, you can just stop by the office and speak to them about loud nuisances, but nothing ever gets done. For the amount of rent charged, one could save money by living in a hotel where sleep is an option, as is TV. The Avenues only allows for ATT cable, so we are unable to access NBC. It is ridiculous that being brand new and expensive, construction is never complete, our AC has broken four times, dishwasher broke twice, circuits have blown regularly, garbage disposal broke, and oven has broken. Sprinkler heads in BOTH of our units were/are leaking, yet has never been addressed. The propane tanks at all four grills have been out at once, but nobody was notified until a week later. Many people arrived at the grills with prepared food only to find that none were in use. The fire pit has been broken for months, so there is another construction project. The fire alarm issue seems to have been resolved except that it was beeping again this week. Many residents have been talking about an interactive community page, or even a bulletin board, but requests have been denied. There are not enough "poop stations" for dogs, and many do not pick up their poop. Those that do pick up just throw the bags on the ground, or in the mail room, or at the grills because there are too few stations. The maintenance crew is always working hard, but are unable to keep up with the mounds of poop as well as the trash rooms. If there were only a few of these issues, that would be understandable, but ALL of these constant issues have caused many decent people to move out. Thankfully, our lease is almost up. Most of the friends that we have made have moved out, some breaking their leases because they, and we agree, say that it is a waste of time to complain . All false promises, always excuses. We have lived in six apartment complexes in six different cities in the past fifteen years, and never had a complaint about any. They had the usual apartment noises, that is to be expected. The Avenues had such potential to be a good place to live. It is in a great location, its physical appearance is beautiful, the maintenace staff is hardworking, and the women in the leasing office are friendly. It is just horribly built and poorly managed.
