  I started at this gym 9 months ago, with no previous weightlifting experience. I was going through uterine cancer and a divorce, and just wanted to find a way to get mentally and physically healthy (before surgery). I found CrossFit Goliath and decided to give it a try. It has been one the best choices I've ever made for myself! I could list the pounds I've lost, or the clothing sizes I've gone down on, or the tone muscles I am very proud to show off, but for me that isn't the most important part of my journey with CrossFit ... my overall health is what I'm most proud of, and how I can handle any curve ball thrown my way without becoming completely stressed out or broken. My friends notice my confidence, they notice my smile, and they see me rebuilding my life and coming out of what could have been a very dark period of my life ... I have become a light inside myself and I radiate daily!! Most importantly, I have become a role model for my teenage daughter on self love and self healing.
  
  Bonus: The coaches are amazing, the other members are super supportive and uplifting, it feels like a family and you don't worry about who is doing what better than you, instead we all celebrate all the successes. Simply put - it will become your home away from home, a community you don't want to leave.
  
  Side note: I did have to have my surgery during this 9 month journey, and the support I received from the staff and trainers was remarkable. I am not back 100% and feel amazing!
