  I lived in Raleigh for four years and frequented all the coffee shops to be found, and I can say without a doubt that Maude's takes the cookie as my favorite for just an overall great experience. The inside is adorably whimsical and calming, owed to their faerie garden section, and their coffee side is similarly decorated, offering sweets and snacks in addition to their coffee. And let me tell you: the Carrboro coffee they serve is as strong as it is full-bodied. I always leave here with an extra skip in my step--mostly because of the caffeine, but also due to the friendliness if their staff and the light-hearted, warm atmosphere they help maintain. (Or maybe that's the work of the faeries.) Raleigh has a lot to offer, but truth be told this little gem will probably be one of the places I will miss the most because there's simply no other place quite as charming and reliably enjoyable as Maude's for a good cup of coffee with a quiant, lovely view.

  I love this place! Frequent as much as possible when I'm in this part of town. The staff is so nice and best latte in town! So refreshing from the hustle and bustle of you know who. Support local!!
